Engineers
Steve Wall - Producer, Engineer & Founder of Gardentone Steve is a trained engineer/producer/musician that’s as comfortable on a RadioShack cassette recorder as he is on a Neve or SSL. He has the right combination of technical mastery, knowledge of acoustics, and “I can vibe with him” personality to allow the artists he works with to stay comfortable, focused, creative, and well… happy. Clients have gone on to say that “Steve has huge ears and a big heart…” and, “Unlike a lot of engineers/producers you’ll work with, Steve is actually a great musical talent…” Fully versed in musical theory, and an accomplished drummer/songwriter/guitarist/vocalist, Steve frequents NY & NJ based studios and the Lower East Side indie music scene.
As a musician, Steve has been teaching and scoring drums and percussion, as well as band arrangements for all genres, for over 10 years. He has also been a featured drummer in 2 Carnegie Hall performances. Living in recording studios for the past 2 years, and fiercely dedicating himself to audio, Steve has grown into a gifted recordist and mixer after his SAE Institute graduation, and has followed artists from creation, to record deal, and beyond. He also thinks Folktronica is totally rad, and enjoys playing rugby with local NY and NJ clubs.
