Custom Designed & Tuned Acoustic Treatments!
The control room is now fitted with state of the art acoustic treatment designed by Joe Salvatto. Joe is a member of an elite class of pro audio engineers who honed his craft during the glory years of the legendary A&R Recording Studios in New York. Since then, he has gone on to design, install, and maintain some of the best known recording rooms on the East coast – one of which is 50 Cent’s personal space and now Gardentone. What does this mean? What you hear is what you get. No sonic surprises on your iPod…
This prompted us to have our first in studio speaker shootout. We invited in a few trusted ears and put some well recommended and reviewed high-end monitors to the test. Speakers need many things to reproduce sound accurately. Along with being finely engineered and manufactured, they need to fit well in their environment and “couple” with the room where they reside. In our room, there was a clear winner: the JBL LSR 6328P. Since installing these, they’ve seen good use, and we’ve been turning out some truly great sounding mixes & masters.
